Maybe it’s my Ameri-centric world view that keeps me baffled at how many Brits make good soul singers. I mean, Annie Lennox is from Aberdeen, Scotland. That’s a long way from Tupelo, for those who don’t know. So while I definitely love her voice, which is soulful, I do not like this cover personally. But maybe you will, so here you go.
